Chateau Lill hosted its first wedding in 1994, before construction was even done, and we haven’t stopped since. With flexible event spaces, dedicated planners on-site, and carefully tended gardens, the options are endless when it comes to planning your one-of-a-kind event.
Chateau Lill has over six and a half square feet of flexible event space, both indoor and outdoor.
Some of our most beloved spaces include the Barrel Room, designed to evoke the oak barrels of a winery; the Grand Room, an airy ballroom complete with grand piano; and an open-air, tented terrace. Explore further, and you’ll find more secluded spots, from the chateau’s tower to the gazebo sitting beside a picturesque pond.
The chateau sits amid 10 acres of farmland, native forest, vineyards, and lush gardens, including both an English- and a French-style garden. The property is even home to both alpacas and goats.
Charles Lill knew that his family had a history of winemaking, and that led him to embark on his own winemaking journey in the 1990s, on the land where our chateau sits today.
Years later, he began building the chateau itself, inspired by the famous Chateau Hautbrion in Bordeaux, France. In 1994, we hosted our first wedding for family friends. We’ve since become a popular destination for couples from Seattle (and beyond) looking to add European flair to their wedding.
Today, the property is run by Greg & Stacy Lill, Charles’ son and daughter-in-law. They see themselves as the stewards of a beloved family tradition.
While wine is no longer made on our property, we still host a tasting room where we serve Lill Family Wines, and local wine is a cornerstone of our guest experience.
