The original Lill family of wines date back to the town of Lille in France in the mid-12th century! For over 25 years the Lill family, as part of their family estate, Chateau Lill, have pioneered the top echelon of Washington wines through the family brand they established in 1992. The Cashmere Cellars brand established in 2004, produces top level premium cult Chardonnay. The “Lill Brother,” “Lill Sister” and “Lill Bébé Rosé wines, from Lill Family Wines, are great everyday overachievers.

This wine is being produced specifically for the Baron de Massy of Monaco. The first Baron de Massy, Simon, earned his noble title after displaying great boldness during the second crusade in 1147. The Leopon on the coat of arms symbolizes his combative valor. In 1777 the title passed on to the Monaco Royal family which reigns on a world of Grand Prix racing, high society, luxury and “Savoir Vivre.” This dual legacy has inspired the 17th Baron de Massy of Monaco to produce this outstanding wine. Sir Charles 2020 Columbia Valley Syrah

We are all about friends and family at Lill Family Wines. Sir Charles Syrah was crafted in collaboration with our friend Morgan Lee of Two Vintners, and shares three namesakes in the Lill family: Charles Lill, patriarch of Château Lill, his son Gregory Charles Lill, and our beloved Golden Doodle Charley. We think it deliciously honors the past and present with bramble and dark cherry fruit notes and soft white pepper tones—so characteristic of Syrahs—and a lingering finish of Herbes de Provence and leather. Retail Price: $40.

“Chateau Lill is filled with old world character, joy and wine! This is absolutely one of my favorite places to cater because we can cook on a wood fire, and serve indoors or out depending on the weather. Love it!!” —Chef Tom Douglas
